ABBOTTABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organizer MNA Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan Abbasi said that he had no intention to change his party loyalty but wanted to make KP a stronghold of PML-N.
Clarifying a news item published in a section of press Abbasi said that he had not joined Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and the news was baseless and inconceivable. PML-N possessed stronghold in the entire province of KP and he does not want to quit his party, he said. He said PML-N has planned to give provincial status to Hazara soon after taking reigns of the country. Abbasi said PML-N had always played pivotal role to streamline public opinion and ensuring provision of justice to each citizen on equal footings. He said the people who had changed their political loyalties represented their own act but no one else could speak on his behalf. Sardar Mehtab was highly annoyed when Nawaz Sharif agreed to support the change of province’s name and Hazara’s reservations were ignored
ABBOTTABAD/KARACHI (INP) –Prominent PML-N national leader of Circle Bakote and former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister belonged to UC Malkote Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, his baby MPA and family are all set to join Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf very soon. Sources close to Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, confirming the report, said the former CM was highly annoyed when Nawaz Sharif agreed to support the change of province’s name and Hazara’s reservations were ignored.
They said this development caused big damage to the political standing of Sardar Mehtab Abbasi. They said he had resigned from the National Assembly but later on the persuasion of Nawaz Sharif he withdrew it. Aides said Sardar Mehtab was also annoyed with the PML-N leadership for accepting Umar Ayub Khan in the party’s fold without consulting him. (Daily The Nation Islamabad, 25th December, 2011)

ABBOTTABAD: The memo scandal is a conspiracy against Pakistan, as it is not only damaging for Pakistan Army but also for the solidarity of country, said Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan Abbasi, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and the party chief organizer in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He was addressing a public meeting on Monday at Model Village Banda Phagwarian wherein provincial chief of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Mohabat Khan Awan announced to join PML-N. MNA Captain (r) Safdar and MPAs Sardar Shamoonyar Khan Abbasi, Inayatullah Khan Jadoon and Aurangzeb Khan Nalotha and Abdul Sattar Khan were present on the occasion. Abbasi said it was need of the hour to probe properly the allegations levelled by Mansoor Ijaz. He said after coming into power the PML-N will amend the constitution to pave way for declaring Hazara province soon after the general elections. He said those who were interested in highlighting their political issues just in the name of Hazara martyrs had forgotten each and every national interest to get share in the government. ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Manifesto Committee has finalised its recommendation with the main focus to give a workable solution to the problems confronting the country with focus to give due attendance to the issues of all the segments of society. The meeting, chaired by the committee head Sartaj Aziz, and all the members including Senator Ishaq Dar, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan Abbasi, Zahid Hamid, Nuzhat Amir, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Anusha Rehman Khan, Chaudhry Jaffer Iqbal, Mamnoon Hussain, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed and Siddiqul Farooq in attendance gave final touches to the recommendations. Islamabad—The Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear the memogate case today (Thursday); meanwhile Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Mian Nawaz Sharif would argue the case in apex court. It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has filed a constitutional petition with regard to ‘memo controversy’ in the Supreme Court on 22 November.
PML-N leaders including Nawaz Sharif, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ishaq Dar, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Abbasi, it General (Retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch and other PML-N leaders from various provinces have filed the constitutional petition under Article 184-3 of constitution through senior advocate of apex court Fakharuddin G Ibrahim. Meanwhile, court has clubbed another petition on memo issue filed by advocate Tariq Asad, with the case. PML-N has made President, Federation, Chief of the Army Staff, Hussain Haqqani, Mansoor Ijaz, DG ISI and Foreign Secretary party in the case. PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif, in his petition, referred to Mansoor Ijaz’s article in the UK paper and stated that President Zardari and Hussain Haqqani denied the claims initially; therefore, the court should play its role in the matter to safeguard national interest.
